Dear kiddies, ladies and gentlemen,
孩子们，女士们，先生们：
I would like to express my appreciation for China Daily and China Youth Development Foundation for inviting me to say a few words on this meaningful occasion. As the president of Aramco Asia, I feel honored to witness the commencement of this summer camp for 30 children from low-income families from Yunnan province. It is one of the most precious jewels among our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavor.
非常感谢中国日报、中国青少年发展基金会邀请我在这个富有意义的场合发言。作为阿美亚洲总裁，我很荣幸见证这次夏令营的开幕，为来自云南省低收入家庭的30个孩子举办的这次活动是我们企业社会责任工作的重中之重。
Since our Beijing office was established in 2012, we have worked to promote sustainable social and economic development in the areas where we have a presence, and contributed to the well-being of our communities in a multitude of ways. Over the years, we have shifted our citizenship strategy to focus on leveraging our core capabilities to amplify the benefits and opportunities we create.
自2012年北京办公室设立以来，阿美亚洲一直努力推动我们业务所在地区社会和经济的可持续发展，以多种多样的方式为社会福祉作贡献。这些年来，我们转变了企业公民责任战略，将重心放在发挥阿美亚洲的核心优势上，不断放大我们创造的机会和福利的效用。
We recognize the important role of community engagement and have made significant progress in our citizenship strategy. It is our civic duty to help make the communities in which we operate better places to live and work. We strive to improve the environmental health and safety of these communities, enhance educational opportunities, increase economic viability, and promote energy sustainability through conservation and efficiency efforts. All the projects we funded have focused on our CSR pillars of community, knowledge and environment.
我们非常重视对社区建设的投入，在企业公民战略方面也取得了重大进展。将我们业务运营的社区建设成更好的生活和工作场所是阿美亚洲的企业责任。我们努力提升社区内的环境、卫生和安全水平，扩大教育机会，增强经济活力，通过节能增效推动能源可持续发展。阿美亚洲资助的这些项目都凸显了我们对社区、知识和环境这些企业社会责任工作的特别关注。
Our Beijing office has partnered with China’s National Center for the Performing Arts and the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture to promote the exchange of cultural programs between China and Saudi Arabia.
阿美亚洲北京办公室已与中国国家大剧院、阿卜杜拉阿齐兹国王世界文化中心建立合作关系，共同推动中国和沙特阿拉伯两国的文化交流活动。
In Fujian and Yunnan, we renovated student dormitories in two primary schools, providing 200 students with safer, improved accommodation to support their academic aspirations. In Yunnan, we constructed a new bridge, benefitting roughly 300 villagers with safe and efficient access to schools and markets. In partnership with the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, and with help from our 12 students who are studying there, we provided support to the 5th International Cultural Festival. The student-run event attracts almost 4,000 international students from 129 countries and provides a platform for cross-cultural exchange.
在福建和云南，阿美亚洲资助了两所小学的宿舍修缮，为200多名小学生提供更安全、更完善的住宿条件，为他们的学业提供支持。我们在云南新建了一座桥梁，造福300多村民，让通往学校和集市的道路更为安全和便捷。在北京，阿美亚洲与对外经贸大学合作，和在此学习的12名学生一道，全力支持他们的第五届国际文化节。这个学生组织的活动吸引了来自129个国家的4000多位留学生，是文化交流的良好平台。
The week-long summer camp we are sponsoring now will provide you with a fun-filling and nurturing atmosphere in which you will embrace new learning opportunities and new friendship in an easy, active and child-friendly way. Our goal is to give you a fun summer-time together, and you are expected to engage, celebrate, learn, play and enrich your life together.
这次阿美亚洲资助的夏令营活动为期一周，将为孩子们创造一个寓教于乐的氛围，让大家接触到新的学习机会，以轻松、活泼、孩子们喜爱的方式交到新朋友。我们希望给大家带来一个快乐的暑假，孩子们欢聚一堂，边学边玩，让生活更丰富多彩。
We have designed jointly with China Daily and China Youth Development Foundation a wide range of activities to suit your interests, indoor and outdoor, science and arts, educational and recreational, traditional and modern. We have also identified some programs that could broaden your horizon and mind. I hope you will enjoy these programs and open yourself to this week-long experience, which are beneficial for you to develop coordination, social existence, team concept and qualities both mentally and physically.
阿美亚洲与中国日报、中国青少年发展基金会合作，策划了一系列激发孩子们兴趣的活动，形式多样，有室内有室外，有科学类的也有艺术类的，有教育性的也有休闲性的，有传统类的也有现代类的。我们还选取了一些能拓宽孩子们视野，开阔思维的活动，希望你们喜欢，能全身心投入到这一周的活动中。希望这样的经历能培养孩子们的协调和社交能力、团队合作意识，有助于他们的身心素质发展。
